KinkGenetics Wefted Bundle

This hair is everything. It blends extremely well with my 4b/4c hair texture. It has great density, it’s great quality and I love it. People can’t tell whether it’s extensions or mine unless I tell them. I do think it sheds more than I like; however, I don’t want to hold the shedding against the company because I could do a better job with care & the products I use. I think the recommendation is Knot Today and I’ve been using Cantù products which I don’t think it’s best.

Babyyyyyy this hair looks like it’s growing straight outta my roots. I love it. I got 18” and 2 20”. Minimal shedding and easy to detangle. Buyyyyy it.

I must say I was very skeptical in the beginning . Honestly, I've had the clip-ins for at least 6 months starting and never use them so I decided to purchase the wefted bundles just to give it a try. All I'm going to say is was the best decision I've ever made in my life when it comes to hair, not to mention the hair was a perfect match to mine and my hair stylist stated that it was easy to color and the hair took very well. I literally just finished twisting my hair so I can have the perfect twist out for New Year's. Trust me I will be uploading more photos soon and Needless to say I'll be ordering again ❤️🖤💚 (clip-ins I used in the short hairstyle and the wefted is used in the long)

I recently received an install using the kinkgenetics hair. It is amazing and resembles my hair. I love that you can match your hair by taking a test on the website. Straight genius! Easy to deal with because It mimics my hair. Not too much shedding to none if you know what products works best for your own hair. Very friendly and professional. Will definitely order again! I left a review sometime ago that was inaccurate. This hair is amazing. I find that washing it prior to installation is what your supposed to do. There is no other line closer to my hair than Kinkistry. Perfect for natural protective styles. Clipins are an absolute must to have in days where you want to change it up quickly. Worth every penny.

I LOVE this hair! I did have to dye the hair to match my natural color, but even after the process the hair still feels soft and bouncy. Matches my hair texture perfectly, best brand out there for natural hair extensions!

So the bottom of the kinkgenetics matched my hair but when it gets closer to the weft the curl is quite loose. I was wondering if the kinknetics would have a tighter curl all the way to the weft?

I wanted to wait until I’ve worn my wefts long enough to provide an accurate review. Texture: I have type 4 hair(a,b,c) so I purchased the kinkGenetics wefts (matches best with 4a/b hair type) and the kinknetics wefts (matches best with 4b/c hair type). Personally, I only saw a slight difference with the two textures. But once the hair was washed and/or products added i could barely tell them apart. But more importantly, both textures matches my hair perfectly. Quality: This hair is very high quality and comparable to others brands I’ve tried (i.e. curls curls, BetterLength, HerGiven hair). I used permanent dyed to color my wefts black to match my hair. This did not alter the curl pattern. Length: I purchased 12, 16 and 18 inches wefts. First, after purchasing the 12 inch I realized this hair shrinks way more than other “type 4” hair I had purchased from other brands…but it is 12 inch when stretched and measured. I use this to do puffs and ponytails. I purchased a second pack of weft at 16 inches which was still slightly shorter than I preferred due to shrinkage but that’s just my preference. Finally, I purchased the 18 inches because they had a sale. Either way, I enjoy wearing all 3 lengths. Price: I’m not going to chime in on the price point because I think they are in par with similar brands as it relates to prices. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase and will totally buy from this brand again. I definitely recommend you try it out. Just bare in mind that you’ll be putting in the same amount of work as you do if you have type 4 hair. My only drawback is that the hair seem to shed a little more than other kinky hair I’ve tried. I’ve noticed a fair amount of shedding when it’s combed (wet/dry), whether finger combing or using a wide tooth comb. And this was before dying or cutting my wefts. Also sealing the wefts didn’t make a difference. Not sure if it’s because the weft doesn’t have the double stitch technique I’ve seen with other brands. Other than that, the hair does just as well or even better than other brands out there. So why not stick to a black owned company that knows exactly how our hair textures are (type 4 a/b/c), what it goes through (i.e shrinkage, frizz), what it looks like (wet, dry or with products) and can better mimic that so maintenance is consistent with how you would treat your own hair. I would love for Kinkistry to come out with iTips. This is the new (but old) technique everybody is doing. I plan on using my wefts to do my braid-less sew-in. I can’t wait to see how it turns out. I definitely would recommend Kinkistry to anyone. If you’re thinking about trying it, you won’t be disappointed.
