All hair is measured straight. This means you lose about 4 inches. For example, 16 inches is 16 inches when straight, but 12 inches with the curl pattern.
Maintenance and Recommended Products: To preserve the hair and ensure longevity, finger combing is suggested. If you choose to comb the extensions, use a wide tooth comb (preferably a detangling brush) and start from the ends then work your way up. Co-wash the hair weekly/biweekly. Apply HydraLuxe Extreme Moisturizing Conditioner generously to wet hair from root to tip then rinse thoroughly. After co-washing, spray a generous amount of Mega Moisture Leave-In Condish throughout your fresh, clean hair. Seal in moisture with HydraLuxe Growth & Anti-Itch Serum. Apply directly to the scalp and/or extensions. Define curls and add moisture with HydraLuxe Moisturizing Enhancer Gel. Style as desired.
If/when there is product build up, use HydraLuxe Gentle Refining Shampoo to cleanse extensions and scalp. Apply a quarter size amount of HydraLuxe Gentle Refining Shampoo to your extensions. Cover evenly throughout your hair and scalp.
A wig head is highly recommended for the detangling process.
Hair Dye - The hair can be dyed. This hair has gone through a steam process to achieve the texture. Be aware that the lighter you dye the hair the looser the curls may become.
Straightening Hair - The hair can be straightened. Be aware that this hair has gone through a steam process to achieve the texture. Straightening the hair could alter the texture.

I bought the Kurlgenics 16inch U-part wig. It feels too short especially in front and I wish an 18 inch was available. Otherwise, I love the wig. It's very soft (three weeks in) and feels like human hair. Con: the medium size wig was too big for my head even though my head circumference is 22.5inches. I'm not sure if it's because I wear the wig in a side part or if it's just too big. I had to sew the inside of the wig cap to be able to get it to fit. Next time I'll have to get the small.

This U-part has changed my life by helping me be confident with my natural curls. The texture match is seamless. I am a 3c/4a and I am a fan of my curl category but not a fan of my shrinkage. This U-part solves that challenge. I recommend getting your U-part trimmed, shaped and subtle-y layered by a texture hair specialist and it will take your look to the next level.
My first time getting this U-Part was in 2017 I believe and it lasted 3 years. Reordered this year. However, I must have used the wrong kind of shampoo; it shredded badly and would not go back to the curl pattern well. I'm disappointed in that part but in all it was beautiful.

I am so pleased with this product! It looks so natural, the feel is light weight and soft, takes well to styling with limited shedding. It was a little big so I had to sew it to fit but no biggie at all. My highlights took well and I even did a perfect twist out on it💓! I’m in love.

The unit is great, it blends well with my hair, the only downside is the ends are a little too kinky for my hair. I wish their wigs came in longer lengths.

I dyed this wig, blew it out and straighten it and it went back to the pattern. I wanted to see just how much I could manipulate it. Oh and I bleached it lol. A great buy for sure. However, I would not recommend doing all of that if you are going to be upset if it doesn’t take it’s shape again especially because they advise against it.

I loved the texture and look of the wig! My hair is short (5 inches stretched, so I ordered clip ins to fill in the leave out area. The clip ins were darker than the U-part wig, so my hair blended better with them. Though I have a tapered Mohawk, it fits great! love the wig and will definitely order again!
This hair blends with mine perfectly and I’ve gotten so many compliments. My only complaint is that the wig sheds quite a bit, and a few of the tracks are a little unstable after two weeks. Plus the cap is about 1 inch too big and I think I have a pretty big head lol. But overall, I’m happy with my investment :)
